No Luck, whatsoever, anywhere ...

So my contract came up for renewal, great! Who doesn't love those moments ? I rushed to the Telkom's site because well, up until now, I couldn't complain about them.

Spotted a deal on the site and though YAY this is good value for money. So when the call centre agents in Cape Town called i kept a note of what I wanted and told them this is what i waas interested in upgrading to. Unfortunately they couldnt offer that from their end and directed me to a store.

A few days later i went to the store thinking "Okay this is where i get my deal sorted". Unfortunately they dont fulfill the websites offers either, try applying online they said.

So thats what i tried. I also tried calling different call centre and it seemed more as if this deal doesnt exist as no one says that they are out of stock, rather, that not all deals apply to all outlets or sales mediums.

Much effort and perserverance later I finish the online application and wait beyond the stipulated period (which is expected) and I am currently drafting this review whilst being put on hold and transferred from pillar to post for 30 sec of talk and a lifetime of terrible stock music.

It is currently 12:15Pm and the call has went on for a good 36 odd minutes. I have succesfully memorised the waiting music. A 39 Min and 3 Seconds later still no renewal.

My dad once bought a car in like 15 minutes and i can't get a renewal in 3 weeks.

I'd really like if someone can tell me where i can get the promotion and just upgrade to it already, is it a case of false advertising ? Because it currently seems like it is ? Isn't that a road no one as big as Telkom wants to go down ?

My current view on Telkom: Everything is not what it seems.
