No internet. Swapped landline number

Our landline stopped working on the 28/11/2016. No phone and no internet. To date we still do not have internet.

The landline started working about two weeks ago but to our surprise we suddenly have a new landline number. This number belongs to another family in town so i have no idea who has our number or how Telkom is going to process billing at month end.

My partner has contacted Telkom almost everyday. Every time there is a different excuse or the consultant has no idea what he's on about. Apparently a new cable has been installed and lines crossed. I just don't understand how it takes over a month to sort out with absolutely no feedback from Telkom.

I work from home and have spent a fortune buying data because our adsl line doesn't work. It is completely frustrating.

This issue has still not been resolved. This has now gone on for seven weeks! Does Telkom not want to assist their clients?
We have phoned Telkom every single day and no one is prepared to fix the problem.
We haven't got our landline number and we still do not have any internet because the landline number has been crossed.
Consultants say a technician has been at the house and no one was there. That is utter nonsense. Someone is always there and they have a multitude of contact numbers to get in touch with us.
This is completely ridiculous.
What is going to be done about it??
