NO HELP FROM TELKOM ON PERSONAL LANDLINE ISSUES

My grandmother had a landline for 40 years with Telkom and has always paid her bill without fail for all those years. In 2021 she reported to Telkom and the Cavendish branch that the phone line was no longer working and they told her they would send a technician to fix the problem. For 3 months she went to the same branch with no resolution. She was even sent to Claremont branch to report the problem but no help was given to her request. For 2 years she continued to pay for the line even though it was no longer working. No technician was sent to fix the problem and neither was she given any form of communication about what was happening on the account. After 2 years of paying for a telephone line that was not working she requested the account to be closed. Telkom did not bother to close the account but instead continued to bill her for a service they did not provide. This year Telkom had the nerve to hand over her account for collections because she stopped paying the account last year March. Telkom only closed the account in November. My question is how do you bill a client for a service you did not provide? How do you hand over a client for an account they requested for 2 years to be closed. You were only too happy to take the money for an account you had no intention of fixing. The *****ulent behaviour displayed by Telkom shows exactly why so many clients do not use their services. I tried to call Telkom but could not get through to any number that YOU advertised on the internet. When I went to the Century City branch I was told that you cannot call and be connected to anyone. I requested statements for the phone line only to be told that Telkom's system doesn't give out statements older than 1 year. I have tried my level best to contact Telkom and sort this out but they are not willing to help. I am fed up with their treatment of long standing clients. I truly hope I get feedback.
