No handset to utilise my landline

My Easitouch 405 handset for my landline fell and broke. I tried calling Telkom Cresta on the *** number provided on the internet to find out if they had any in stock. No-one answers the phone. I eventually drove through to the Cresta outlet on 9 December 2015 and when I queried this I was told that it was not a 'call-centre'. And this is a telecommunications company.<br> <br> I was then informed that they did not have the handset I was looking for in stock. Instead I was offered an Alcatel and was told that all I had to do was plug it in. After having to charge it for over 15 hours it still did not work and when I tried to return it on 10 December 2015 I was informed that I had to stand in a long queue. I wasn't prepared to wait for an hour to return a handset that was complicated, dependent on electricity and did not work in the first place. I left the Alcatel handset in its box on the counter of the store and informed Thebelihe Tyane who was on duty that I didn't want a replacement and was not prepared to wait in a queue to return an inferior product.<br> <br> I have a Telkom landline but no handset to utilise Telkom's service which I have to pay for.
