No Connection For Over 20 Days

So with all my experience with PING with mobile broadband I felt it would be good to go with Telkom ADSL for a more stable experience when I think about my latency when gaming, or my speed when streaming.

I think I was somewhat wrong.

I had pretty good internet for about 3 months.

And then things went south.

I upgraded my line to 8MB as I wanted a more reliable speed in terms of productivity with gaming and allowing my other half to stream at the same time, however in January 2017 in and around the 18th my internet dropped, including the phone line. This was reported and only fixed on the 7th February 2017.

I was pretty chuffed to be able to use my line, especially because of taking part in the TELKOM DIGITAL GAMING LEAGUE - however on the 11th of February 2017 at about mid day my phone line went down along with my DSL. I'd been seeing a lot more of Bytes Technology and Open Serve around lately, who I beleive work under Telkom. I had not heard anyhting from the other fault I logged on the 12th February.

I found one of the guys at a Telkom box on the 16th February who said he'd gladly come look at the problem.

He mentioned to me that they installed a new box on the Saturday and the technicians do not know wher to plug in the cablwes etc.

He came to me on the Friday the 17th February and made sure I had a connection again. But I will foolish to think it would last. He fixed the line at 10:00am on Friday and by 01:00PM my line was gone. No DSL nothing.

I proceeded to call the guy who just fixed it but I got no answer, I know he has to actually get the fault from Telkom to attend but I though he would just pop in and check again.

I logged the fault on Saturday the 18th and asked for it to be logged as critical. I was told this would be done. I then again saw the Open Serve guy and he told me now that it cannot be the box and no one would have touched it and it must be a cable in the manholes. I was surprised that this would be the case with a matter of 3 hours. He advised me I would need to log the fault and then we'd have to wait and see. On Sunday 19th February 2017 I received a SMS and got told someone would be with us between 07:30am and 12:00PM - but no one pitched.

I have since heard anthing from anyone and I am seriously getting tired of such bad service.

To top off this amazing service (NOT) I saw that I have only been credited for R74.00 on a R600.00 bill.

How does one credit something that has been off most of a month.

I will not pay a bill when I did not receive a service. Telkom better sort my line and bill out.

I refuse to pay for a service I do not receive.
