No assistance

If it is not the worst network coverage, it is the worst customer service you get from the consultants.

So I had a terrible network problem last month, where I could not use some of the apps on my phone using data but Wi-Fi . I called Telkom several times for them to fix the problem for me but with no luck. 2 weeks later the issue was sorted, I don't know how but I was able to use the apps using data and not the Wi-Fi. By the way my data was decreasing although it was not used by me at that time.

On the 19th of December I had the same issue:, but this time decided to switch off the mobile data and just forget about it as I knew the problem won't be sorted on time, and on that day that was the day I lost my phone.

I owed the insurance December premium, so I decided not to claim as I also cancelled the insurance on the 4th of that month. I contacted Telkom online to make payment arrangements for the outstanding amount to be paid, and I was told I can pay 30-40% of the amount for 3 months depending on how much I am willing to pay each month. Before the consultant could make an arrangement, where she even calculated how much I will be paying from that amount the internet/conversation was cut off due to time response. I left it for them to debit but they debited on the wrong date. I then chatted today with one of the online consultants by the name of Edman, who I couldn't understand by the way he explained his answers. I asked him if he can get someone to call me so they can explain it better.

He called me and I explained my story. Guess what? I got a different answer from the consultant I chatted to online, who told me about 30-40%. Apparently one cannot make arrangements if they only suspended the service, you only make arrangements if the account is closed or terminated. They will debit my account the same amount I am owing and if they don't get funds, it is an extra R200 from what I owe them. I tried to explain to the consultant that I will not be able to pay a full amount, hence I am making arrangements to pay in instalments. I don't have a problem if they suspend the service till my account is up to date. I even asked if I can pay half of the amount and paying the next month without being charged any extra amount but the consultant insisted that he can't make any arrangement for me.

I want to pay the account, but how will I do that if they don't want to assist me? When I make means not to owe them but with no assistance? if they charging me extras on the account that I can't pay in full? When I get different answers from the consultants?

Can I please get assistance?

Dominique
