No ADSL service for 4 weeks, still no end in sight
I rented my ADSL line via a third party ISP. I decided to cut out the middle man and migrate my line back to Telkom. The ISP deactivated my ADSL line and cancelled my contract with them on 27 July. They created an order on theTelkom IT systems on the same day. Now, 4 weeks later, the Telkom order is still pending. I have called the call centre multiple times and have visited Telkom stores as well. I'm told the back office people of Telkom Wholesale ADSL ISP needs to push the order through the system. Joseph from Telkom Store Woodlands Mall tried his best (Thanks Joseph!) and send an e-mail to the Telkom back office people and CCed me as it was Saturday and the back office people only works office hours. No reply received. I followed up on the e-mail asking for feedback. No reply. I gave it a couple of days and went back to Telkom Store Woodlands on Friday 21 August at 15:00 in the hope that they will be able to call the back office people. NO ANSWER, it seems that the Telkom Wholesale ADSL ISP personnel do not work on Friday afternoons. Thus yet another e-mail has been sent to them. I have no hope that the e-mail will be followed up.
