no ADSL service

Urgently need assistance trying to get a Telkom technician in the Morningside area to fix issues with ADSL line. Can anyone help? I've done the usuals.. fault report, Telkom chat, phone call etc. All they can say is that technicians are testing the line remotely and are aware of the problem and will sort it out soon. Different agents been giving the exact response for a week now. it is costing me money twice over - for one, i have to keep buying mobile data to carry out daily work - secondly, im paying for something im not getting.
