No ADSL line available

I app**** for a 4Mbps ADSL line in Woodstock CT on 27 Jan. I was told I would receive a confirmation SMS within 48 hours. I received nothing. I called 10210. I waited for an hour for the phone to be answered. I was told there is a fault at LAU12. They couldn't tell me what the fault is or how long it will take. I phoned 10210 again and waited another 45 minutes for someone to answer. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Matilda told me they are busy upgrading the exchange and all new applications are blocked until end of March. They also can't offer me any other solution for the same price and they can't guarantee me that it will be complete by the end of March. This is the new improved customer approach from Telkom. Could they not have told me when I app**** that this was the case. Their coverage map shows VDSL is available in the area but when you call in they say it is not available so why have a coverage map if it is not accurate. Telkom fails on all levels and there is no other company I can approach, so do they really care?
