No action from Telkom regarding reference number 909723

During October of 2017 we logged a call with Telkom, reference number REF 909723 to move a telephone pole behind my boundary wall to a new location as the pole is right in the middle of my yard and is quite unsightly. Behind my house where the pole is located is a servitude area for water and electricity pylons.

To my knowledge telephone poles should be planted where two properties meet yet mine is in the middle of my property. In fact when I inspected the entire line it seems that the line needs two additional poles as not all the poles are planted at property boundary walls. This to me means that the beginning of the line is not built to specification. To date no one has even come out to inspect the line and after many follow up calls from me and escalation it seems that my request have fallen on deaf ears.

In addition to the unsightly pole not being where it should be there’s also loose cables hanging from the pole onto the ground which further makes the line and pole appear not to specification. Furthermore there is an additional cable running the entire length of the route and at one place it is actually lying on a boundary wall further up the route.

Please could you assist in having Telkom inspect the line and have the pole removed and plant it to a new position where it should have been from the start?
