NINE working days to make repairs

Call Centre operator: I will escalate this to another department. It will take 72 working hours to repair the fault. Me: Do you know long 72 hours is. Call Centre operator: Yes - 9 working days. Me: But Telkom is still going to take my R900 for the month? Call Centre operator: Yes Me: Can I speak to a manager Call Centre operator: Yes Me: What is his name please? Call Centre operator: Lungilo(?) I have told him about the problem he is waiting for your call After 10 minutes of listening to patchy muzak I realise Lungilo is a ***ard, too afraid and uncaring to take a call from a customer

This is the second time in 6 months that service has not been attended to. Last time it was intermittent service, 3 weeks after promising to come out and attend to the problem, the technician said the problem was that the nearest tower was 9km away. He made some settings on the router, and then 2 days later made adjustments on the tower. Today the router goes to red. Check with another router in the building, it also goes to red.

Phone Telkom - after jumping through the hoops, especially the advertising just before you finally get to speak to a human, who then proceeds to ask the most stupid questions (what day does Telkom debit your account?!) After 10 minutes we finally get to trying solve the problem. I also wish the call centre people would talk into their microphones and not mumble.

Rest the modem, the same result. Reset the modem take out the sim card and replace, same result.
