Nightmare experience with Telkom

I took out a Telkom mobile contract in Feb 2014. The phone was sold to me by means of a 3rd party call centre that did sales on Telkom's behalf. When I received the phone, I had endless problems with the phone losing signal, which resulted in me not being in contact with my loved ones, children etc. I missed a lot of calls where I would get voicemails, whilst the phone was on. I phoned Telkom and lodged a complaint, and stated that I want to return the phone and cancel the contract. Telkom insisted that I was outside of the cooling off period, I can't cancel, I need to sent the phone in for repairs. I did not sent the phone in for repairs. I took out a new contract with MTN, and through away the broken Telkom phone. I honored the Telkom debit order every month, and when the contract was out of term, I went to Telkom at Mall@Redds to cancel the contract. After I cancelled the contract, Telkom kept on debiting my account. I ended up going to the bank every month to reverse the Telkom debit order. I went back to Telkom at Mall@Reds on the 24th of August 2017 and completed paperwork where I again requested for the account to be cancelled. I got a case number ********** 9. I received a sms about 2 months later, stating that my query has been resolved. For a few months no debit orders went off my account, and then suddenly the whole nightmare started again. I phoned the Telkom call centre again, and the agent told me he can see there is a note that the contract was cancelled. The debit orders didn't stop going off my account. I app**** for a vacant position at a company, and was informed that Telkom has gone ahead and listed me on Trans Union. I was furios. I phone the Telkom call centre AGAIN, and guess what, I got ANOTHER CASE NUMBER ********** 7. I went into the Telkom store at Mall of Africa, to try and again resolve this nightmare. I was informed by the operator in the store that they could not assist me, I need to speak to the customer service call centre. I phoned the call centra AGAIN, hold on for 32 minutes before my call was answered. I had the priveledge to deal with Eustace Emmanual Webster, who assured me who would assist me, and that he would escalate my query to his management. I received an e-mail from him confirming that he did escalate my query on 26 April 2018. I have not heard a word back from Mr Webster or his so called management. Yesterday I received a sms that confirmed that my Telkom account was handed over to Trace Online.... I was livid. I phoned them and spoke to a Mrs Rosssouw. I explained to her what is going on and requested that she notified Telkom to retract the account from them, since it was a query account. She refused to do that. I am at a point where I will approach the media to ensure that every citizen in this country are warned and know how Telkom conducts business. My credit record has been negatively affected, I might lose out on the opportunity of new employment because of this, and have received NO SERVICE from Telkom, NO ASSISTANCE. This is as close as you can get to a HORROR experience.
