I was a Telkom ADSL customer - 10mb/s uncapped, to be precise.
I was then contacted by a representative and asked if I would like to move my contract over to Fibre - which is the 20mb/s VUMATEL bundle. I chose to do this.
Now, it took VUMA 1 week to do the connection and Telkom 6 months to deliver the router. Before the router was delivered, I asked if I would have to put in a cancellation order for the ADSL, but was advised that it wasn't necessary as I'm a current customer that's upgrading my service.
My fibre was activated on the 13th of October.
At the end of October I was billed for my ADLS and the Fibre. I spoke to the consultant and they advised that I need to log a call a call for cancellation online, which I did.
At the end of November, I was billed for ADSL and for the Fibre.
I paid R850-00. R806-00 for the fibre and R44-00 for any outstanding telephone bills.
Now I received my December bill and I'm being charged for ADSL and Fibre again and I have interest added for non payment? What non payment?
On a separate note - I spoke to a consultant, who advised that my profile is still set up as 10MB/S, even though I'm paying for 20MB/s.
