NEVER give telkom business EVER.

Telkom is completely bureaucratic, ***********, and unable to close and/or resolve any issues with their accounts.

They blindly invoice people for the amounts that they think are due and when people dispute it they hand it to debt collectors.

The debt collectors themselves are *********** and bureaucratic and obstinately refuse to discuss this.

In effect, it gives Telkom the power to charge you as much as they like for as long as they like, and no amount of protesting, explaining, going to branches, emailing their staff, etc., will get them to cease and desist.

If you want to preserve your sanity, NEVER give telkom business EVER. It is like signing a deal with the devil.
