NEVER! EVER! EVER! EVER! BUY ANYTHING FROM TELKOM.

NEVER! EVER! EVER! EVER! BUY ANYTHING FROM TELKOM In September 2016 i took up an LTE contract with Telkom paid R1,100 in total which was R700 for deposit and R400 for connectivity for that month. Fast forward 2018 August i request cancellation since the contract was going out of contract.I tried to do the cancellation from their online portal and it was down for days until a manager (Toni Venter) logged a case and then i received an email stating that it would be cancelled and i would be billed R25.92 for October 2018. Early Sept 2018 i received an invoice for an amount of R436.92, i picked up the phone called their call centre and the consultants that i spoke to were adamant that the invoice was correct and that i was being billed in arrears. I requested to speak to a manger (Tshepo Mo***eng) because i knew they were now trying to cheat me and i requested them to check when was the 1st payment and they only could see the October 2016 debit order and the R700 deposit paid in Sept 2016 but not the Aug 2016 R400 first payment. I then produced my receipt of payment on Sept 2016. I sent this email and all the other email trails from Tony Venter to Tshepo Mo***eng and up to now he has never called me back or responded to my emails. (My 1st contact with Tshepo was on 02 October 2018) I got debited on 05 October 2018 R399, i called Telkom again and asked them to refund back the R399 and they still insisted that they could not pick up the R400 i paid on Sept 2016.

I forwarded the slips again to a very lovely lady by the name of Sibongile Malinga who took her precious time to investigate and found out that they had paid the R400 to the wrong account and they would allocate it and refund me back the R700 plus the R400 and less their balance of R90something. That was now on 12 Oct 2018. On 19 Oct 2018 i called to check on the refund and i was sent from pillar to post until another manager by the name of Livien told me to go to the Telkom hop were i had made the payment and ask them to reverse the R400 as it sat in their account, i drove to Cresta and wasted an hour there and they told me to call the call centre again. On 22 Oct i tried to call the call centre i was put on hold for 40mins until the phone mysteriously got cut. I WANT TO ALERT EVERYONE WHO IS THINKING OF BUYING ANY PRODUCTS FROM TELKOM TO RATHER LOOK FOR ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER YOU WILL THANK ME LATER.
