NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TELKOM
I reported my adsl as not working on September 2019 and was told they would investigate and come back to me. on 10 September I called again (every call has a 15 to 25 minute waiting time before they answer due to high call volume as they say.) and I was told my adsl line was ****** and they wont be replacing the cables so i must migrate to lte as there is no fibre in our area. they put me through to sales where i was told for a few more rand they can give me a lte router and my phone can just plug in so both my adsl and none working phone would thus be working. I excepted and they said my router will be delivered within 5 working days. After 5 days I called them again and asked where router was. i was told due to high call volumes they cant assist me I have to call he next day again, all of this from my private cellphone, which I did. This time I was told they don't have stock of routers but if I go to the Telkom store in the clear water shopping center they would be able to assist me and give me a router there which I did but the shop said they cant help me as the technical department has put our order on hold due to migration of the line. the next day I called the technical department again and told them what the shop said. they said they will clear the hold as the migration was done. I went to the shop again on 28 September where they did all the documentation and said I can collect the router today 30 September 2019. Today as I wanted to collect the router I was told that the order was once again placed on hold due to migration and the signed order was once again cancelled. Although i didn't have any service from the 4th of September my online account shows that I have to pay for the full subscription for the month of September. The staff at Telkom is way past ***********. Still I sit without internet and a telephone line.
