MY TELKOM STRUGGLE IS REAL
I've been battling with Telkom since June of this year (2018) to provide me with a 4MBps ADSL line. Our first application was for a 10MBps line which 2 months after the order being rejected was I then advised we were too far from the exchange to receive that speed. We then had to place an order for a 4MBps line which was also not loading as the 10MBps line order needed to be cancelled first. This then resulted in Telkom giving me a new landline to process the 4MBps ADSL line on. Since then I've been billed for 2 landlines, 1x10MBps ADSL, 4x4MBps ADSL lines when I only have 1 voice line linked to a 4MBps ADSL. I have a string of reference numbers attempting to sort this query out which is now attracting interest on my hideous telkom account. I then processed an application when fibre became available to migrate from ADSL to fibre indicating I would no longer need my ADSL or voice line. 2months after the application has been processed, Ive been advised that the customer needs to cancel the ADSL before the fibre can be activated. How is this is the responsibility of the customer when it was indicated on the application form that we will no longer require the voice or ADSL line. Currently I still dont have the use of the fibre line but I've been billed for the modem at R999 which I am not liable for. Can you see an ongoing case of complete and total idiocy??????? Telkom, sort out my account AND my fibre as I'm beyond my wits end here
