My issue is still not resolved!

It has now been six days since the ‘escalation’ and my ADSL line is still syncing at 2Mb.

My wife phone on Tuesday, 31-05-2016, to follow up and was told that the technician decided that he/she was not going to do any further work as we have exceeded the soft cap on our uncapped account and we are being throttled and that’s why the line is syncing at 2Mb.

She was told that the following day everything should be back to normal as it would be the start of a new month. She asked if it would be immediately fixed the following day and they told her it may require a port reset.

Yesterday, 01-06-2016, it was still not working in the morning so I left it and when I came home my line was still syncing on 2Mb so I phoned the call centre AGAIN and asked for a port reset as that was the instruction we got. The port reset made NO DIFFERENCE and my line still synched at 2Mb.

I told the call centre agent what we were told and she informed us that if it were the case that we had gone over the soft cap they would never have opened the fault in the first place.

I then proceeded to firmly inform the call centre agent that I want it resolved immediately and that this is bulls**t and that I expect a discount because I am not getting the service I pay for AND the no one seems to be interested in helping resolve the issue.

Everyone had some excuse and keeps sending us from pillar to post.

This morning my wife phoned again and was told that a technician tested the line in the early hours of the morning and found nothing wrong. She told them that this was nonsense upon which the call centre agent proceeded to do yet another port reset. When the line struggled to synch up again the call centre agent agreed that something was wrong.

The agent said they would escalate it and my wife told them it is not good enough as it has already been escalated, so the call centre agent told her she would have it escalated by management.

If it had only been the speed issue it would not have been as big of a deal but my line attenuation on 2Mb is through the roof rendering the internet very difficult to use.

I am at the point where I am considering taking my business elsewhere as no one seems interested in assisting me with my issue and couldn’t care less about a paying customer.
