My contract was upgraded without my knowledge

I have a contract with telkom and it expired this year june it has been on month to month then in September i wanted to upgrade only to be told that my contract has been renewed and its two months old,i asked which phone was taken they say they don't see that yet am still paying for the contract every month. I have called and i always get told my query is being escalated but it's been months without a reply
