MOVE MY LINE TO THE PUBLIC HOLDING POOL!!!!!!!!!!!

On the 9th of November 2016 I sent through my Cancellation form and copy of ID to Telkom to 1) Cancel my ADSL account, 2) Move my ADSL line to a public holding pool where another ISP can migrate my line.

You would not believe the journey I have been through. More than 3 months now...my line is still not migrated.

So firstly, after about two months without any call, I made numerous calls to Telkom, did many chats, sent many emails, yet it seems like there is no competent person at Telkom. No one knows what to do. I got told lies by your employees (that apparently customers cant cancel/migrate ADSL lines anymore), and I got sent around to so many different places...I honestly have lost all faith in your business. This truly makes me regret ever signing up with you for ADSL.

So lets continue. Finally after the initial battle I thought things might go better, as I received a call from a Telkom employee on the 24th of January to confirm and do the line migration. I explained that I was truly dissatisfied with the service provided by Telkom and would rather want to get server from a competent ISP. The lady was apparently in the process of migrating my ADSL line to the holding pool. A while later I got an SMS: "Dear Customer? Migration of 021******x has been completed. Ref ********** 56A: Please take note of the 22 day notice period from 08/11/16. Regards Telkom." I also got a sappy SMS stating how sad they are to see me go (are they really surprised after all of this that I am leaving???)

After this I contacted the ISP I am moving too, and after numerous mails, it seems like Telkom still has my ADSL line, it has not been migrated. All hope lost. So I called Telkom on the 27th of Jan again explaining all of this, and the employee helping me stated that there was apparently some issue, and my line has not been migrated and that she is fixing it as we speak. I should then proceed to contact my ISP so that they can get my line from the holding pool. Again...nothing...surprised at this point?

Today, the 30th of Jan I contacted Telkom again, could not get through to anyone at the Sales department that is supposed to handle these issues. So I contacted another department, and the employee informed me that the line apparently shows "Synchronising", which means it has not yet been migrated and that I should contact the Sales department (which I have been trying the entire day).

I decided to do a chat, just to be told the following:

:34:52 PM You: After the call I got from Telkom about a week ago, the lady was apparently busy migrating my line to a holding pool. I got a confirmation SMS that it has been migrated afterwards...but this is apparently not the case. As soon as the other ISP tries to migrate my line it shows that Telkom still have my ADSL line

2:35:37 PM You: So I called this morning again and a lady just told me that my line has not been migrated...yet I got an sms confirmation...how can this be resolved?

2:36:38 PMTenelle Sherri: They are now downgrading the line from a ADSL to a PSTN. Only after that is done can we then move it over to wholesale.

2:37:23 PM You: Ok how will I know that it has been successfully migrated?

2:38:33 PMTenelle Sherri: You will need to wait for it to move back to the PSTN, then submit the request again.

So now apparently someone messed up my migration...and I will have to wait for my line to be downgraded just to restart this entire process again!!!

Telkom...if you are reading this. Cancel my friggin ADSL account and migrate my line to a public holding pool!!!!

I cannot express in words my frustration with your service. I am exhausted dealing with your poor service. All I want is my line to be moved so I don't have to speak to another person at Telkom ever again.

Hope to hear back from you soon.

P.S. good luck surviving once the fibre wave is up and running.
