Miss sold New Huawei device
I upgraded to a new Huawei P smart S under the understanding that the only difference is that google maps wont work, you have to go through the browser on Sunday 1/11/2020 at the Tyger Valley branch. On Monday I returned, almost all the apps I use I am having difficulty with. The lady at that I spoke to had a terrible attitude and just said she's not doing anything, I signed, my problem, leave your number for the manager. Manager called the next day. I explained the situation. She actually helped me a bit by setting up a meeting with a Huawei rep in Stellenbosch. Went in on Wednesday, he downloaded the apps I need from Fedora, yet another app store I didn't know about but could not get the Bria enterprise app to work and further consulted with their technicians. I need this is earn my salary, I work in a sales environment and we are also working from home on and off. This is my work tool I use the most. Today I went in again, now I have to drive to another town for them to see if they can get it working. Sorry but no, this cant be right. I went back the next day. Surely as a consumer I have some kind of right?! Our work's service provider technicians were even nice enough to email me explaining that this app wont work on a phone that does not support Google services and they still wont listen to me. Telkom is selling consumers like me, who are unfortunately not tech junkies, devices under the incorrect understanding. Again "the only difference is google maps". Please can someone advise me on what to do. I'm going there again tonight to see what will happen.
