Misleading at point of Sale.

Good day

I'm not sure as to how about to go about this as a friend told me about you guys. I recently opened a contract with Telkom in Promenade mall Mitchell’s Plain. We were told that when you set the contract up in the middle of the month you will not get your full data but rather pro-ratter which we understood and were also told that after you exceed your limit you have an extra R500 that they give or if you phone to non Telkom numbers and will be billed extra on top of your contract amount, Unless you put it at a zero amount (R0.00), my wife went in the store who the customer service agent then told her that she made the extra amount of R500 to a zero (R0.00) amount and did hers as well, but we were not told that it would only come into affect as from the 1st of January 2017. now we have a huge bill to pay of R1.200. W e went into the store to query it, first they told us the manager would call us the Monday the 2nd of January 2017 yet the manager did no such thing, we went in the Tuesday the 3rd of January 2017, we were then told ''no that they very efficient and that they advice the customer and send a sms to inform them'' I then understood but informed them that the customer service agent who is the expert then gave us half or inaccurate information they then agreed and advised that there’s nothing they can do bout the matter, as I informed them that I do not want to pay the extra R500 as its no fault of my own as I was not told that it would start as from the 1st of January 2017
