Misleading Adverti*****t - Bait and Switch.

Telkom's Promotional offers appeared to be a classic bait and switch, a method of false advertising.

Telkom made me aware of its Promotional offers on a range of devices on 9 March 2020.

"Telkom Online Clearance Sale with up to 70% off on a range of devices until 19 March 2020 or while stocks last. For more detail visit https://tlkm.link/.OnlineClearance"

I opted for an a contract which included 10 Gigs of Day and Night data respectively, a Huawei B525 Router and a 21.5 inch iMac for R499.

I app**** on the very same day they notified me about the promotions, the pre-approval deposit was paid (note the credentials used already has three standing contracts with Telkom, with payments up to date.) - however, approximately three days later, a Telkom employee reached out and said the item is no longer available, "elaborating, They no longer stock it".

Why advertise something that does not exist? Leaving the adverti*****t up on their website until the end of the promotion. However, this doesn't legally make them guilty because they used terms such as "while stocks last" and "until 19 March 2020" - but it's clearly dishonest adverti*****t to entice consumers.
