MISLEADING
I have moved into a new house last month where the fibre line was already connected and the previous tenants left they box there, and i thought it would be easier for me then to migrate from LTE to fibre, so i called Telkom and migrated from LTE to Fibre on the 20th of May, I have explained that everything is already set up and i still have my router so they can just come and connect the line. I have asked if there would be any additional charges because of the current LTE contract I had at that time and I have been told by the consultant that i have to contact Telkom after 3 days of having my fibre installed to cancel my LTE contract (which i did), and i will be charged a device fee of R1200 ONCE OFF for the LTE contract because i have cancelled it but i was informed not to worry, i will be able to dispute this amount, i just have to call in once the invoice is received and explain that i have migrated (because i have migrated and not completely moved away from Telkom i will not liable to pay this amount). So now i have called and been told by the billing and customer department that i have been misled by the consultant, i am liable to pay that fee. I mean if i had knew that i had to pay this fee, i would have never migrated, and kept going with my LTE contract untill the 12 months is over. I WILL NEVER I MEAN NEVER DEAL WITH TELKOM AGAIN, I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR MORE THEN 6 YEARS NOW!!!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH TELKOM
