MISLEAD BY TELKOM EMPLOYEE

I’ve been in store on the 16th December 2017 at the Chatsworth branch. I was assisted by Shiveshen who had advised me that there was a current special for the Huawei P10 for R 279.00 x 24 months Including all network data bundles, SMS’s, all-net voice bundle, extra 1GB free me IM for WhatsApp & BBM, Telkom mobile data. Based on the salesman’s facts I decided to proceed with the contract as this was within my affordability.

To my alarm I had received my bill and what I have allocated and budgeted for was not within my reach. Based on the contract received from Telkom there’s no mention on the contract of the amount the contract has been taken for. If I had known that the contract was R 449.00 I would not have signed for it. I have been misinformed by Shiveshen who has given me incorrect information about the Huawei P10. I find it appalling to know that a salesman employed by Telkom, Shiveshen has a lack of knowledge on the packages offered by Telkom as well as the end dates of specials.

I have called Telkom many times but no response, I went to the store on 30/01/18 at 16:30pm to see the manager of the store Vasintha, I had waited there for the manager for half an hour the sales people were not helpful at all and were very rude and abrupt to me.

I had spoken to Vasintha when she came in at 17:00pm and explained everything to her i had given her a letter stating my complaint, she said she would contact me the next day on this regard. the next day i waited for her phone call but she didn't call me up till today. i am very disappointed with Telkom and Vasintha being the manager of the store and not keeping up to her word. i cannot get hold of anyone at Telkom i have made numerous calls to them but as mentioned before there is no response.

I want my contract cancelled before the end of the end of the next week, and i am not prepared to pay any penalty fees to Telkom as i have been misinformed, my contract stands as null and void.

I would not advise anyone to go to Telkom.
