Misinformed

I am a valued customer of telkom and have always paid my bill on time and I was never charged for unavailable funds.

My account was due on the 27th of December according to my statement I received. The banks were closed for me to make the funds availabe in my account and decided to do it manually. Before making this decision, I enquired about it. When I made the payment I called the call centre and spoke to a lady where I asked if I have to send proof of payment to ensure that I don't get charged the R200 for outstanding funds.

Today when I listened to my amount due it still gave me the amount that I paid and I immediately called the call centre and this time spoke to a gentleman that gave me other information saying that whether or not I sent proof of payment it would not have mattered and I would still be charged the R200, this is not the same information that was given by the lady and now I am responsible to pay this amount which is unacceptable as I made sure that I had the right information before I made the payment .

This is the worst experience I have ever had with Telkom and I will never recommend Telkom to anyone.

I sent an email to the email address the agent gave and to my surprise he had the audacity to give an email address that doesn't exist.
