Due to February only having 28 days,my bank experienced an overload of activity with debit orders. This caused my Telkom debit order to be returned.Telkom prompted me via sms that the debit order was not deducted, therefore my account for February was not paid. They provided me with contact details to obtain the information needed to make an EFT payment. So I proceeded telephonically to get the banking details and amount due from Mandisa on 09/03 and continued making an EFT payment.Upon checking my bank balance today (15/03) I noticed that the debit order was deducted for double the amount that I normally pay.I then phoned Telkom to inquire why they proceeded with a debit order after an EFT was done,as per their sms instructions to me.How can they just randomly deduct a random amount on a random date after the payment was already done?Eunice then informed me that I will have to wait 10 working days for Telkom to phone me to obtain my banking details so that the money can be paid back to me.Why do I have to provide them with my banking details?Clearly if they are deducting money from my account via debit order, they should have the banking details.Who gives them the right to ask for my money and then take more money without notifications and then tell me to wait 10 days to get it back?I'm not a millionare.I cannot afford 3 debit orders for the same account in one month. And to put the cherry on top of the cake, the details on my statement are incorrect, but now I have to take leave from work to go and correct it.It's not my fault that the details are incorrect,so why am I being held responsible to fix it?
