Sir, it had been 3 months since I started requesting for my banking details to be changed. Both the "Telkom Call center agents" and the "field/store consultants" always confirm that the 'change has been done' but it's never changed. This causes the debit to fail, and when that happens I get charged 202.07 ZAR and get categorized as a bad payer. I have called to ask for these charges to be reversed as it was never my fault that the system was not updated (They all say it is impossible, please tell me why?). Attached are the emails sent to each Agent/Consultant.
After logging yet another query with the call center, (as attached), last Saturday, I went to Telkom Mall of Africa to add a device to the contract that I had, I was told that I do not qualify for the phone I needed as I am not in good standing with Telkom. The sales consultant there told me that I can only take the cheapest deal as a result of their "in-house credit check". I ended up taking the contract because I needed a phone to use.
On Tuesday,09th August, I received these SMSs:"Telkom SA: Dear customer,Your case no ***7 is resolved. Please call 081180 for Telkom Mobile-related queries and 10210 for Telkom Services and Products-related queries.
Please do not reply to this SMS."and"TelkomSA: Dear Customer,Fault Reference ***9 has been closed. Please do not reply to this SMS." Under the impression that all was resolved, I then logged into the website to order the deal below, a consultant called me and told me to go to the store for a manual credit check. I went to the store, and they told me that this deal is only available online, I then app**** online again and I was again told to go to the store (the run-around repeats itself)
