Made to pay for a ********* act on my phone

I got ****** on June 12 2017 and I called Telkom reporting this matter in order to cease any activity on my phone. I was then told that the ITC system is down and they can not do this. This meant I could file a case with the police and claim with my insurance. At first Telkom representatives advised that the system should be back up in 48 hours which then turned into 72 hours which then turned into 2 weeks. The ball park kept on moving and they did nothing to help me at all. Now a month later I recieved a bill which amounted to R 2 153 - a big difference from a bill of under a R 1000 a month. When I review teh invoice it states that activity happened on my phone on 12 and 13 June. This ******** transferred airtime to themselves and also incured USSD charged. I called Telkom advising that I cannot be charged for this as my phone was ******. Calling in last week another Telkom representative advised that they would escalate the matter and have someone call me on Friday, 21 June 2017, that never happened. I called in today and the representative clearly stated that Telkom cannot be liable for any activity on my phone as I did not state that I want my SIM card be blocked as well. I also requested my recordings as no point in time did a Telkom representative give me this option. If I report my phone ****** as my service provider you should provide me with alternatives in the matter in order for no ******** activity to be done on my phone. The debit has gone out and I instructed them to resolve this matter with me before any money is taken away from me. Being refused my recordings is one thing but being told that I must pay for the ******** activity is another blatant spit on my face as I was violated. Never once did someone at Telkom advise this, only today I am told I the customer should have stated this. The service provider does not have my best interest at heart as they would have advised accordingly while the ITC system was down. I refuse to be liable for this and I want to be reimbursed immetdiately. The invoice states the number that was called and the who recieved teh airtime transfer and this happened during the 12th and 13th of June. Please help. I have had it with telkom as I also sent cancellation forms for my one contract because I have two on 26 May and they said that my contract should be cancelled in 30 days, that has also not been done. The story at Telkom keeps on changing the story, only no does am I told I should have stated that my SIM card be blocked. This is not a customer centric organisation as I was violated and I made to pay for that! And now I also need a letter from a lawyer to recieve my recordings as that is a policy that Telkom has put in place, I am the client I am requesting my conversations with your representatives why are we involving lawyers, I want my money back!
