MacBook Air bought on 30/12/2018, returned on 03/01/2018 - Firebolt port not working

I bought a MacBook Air 13-inch Model No: A1466 on contract from Telkom on 30/12/2018. When I tried to connect the MacBook to an external screen it would not work. I tested the firebolt cable on another macBook Air and it worked. I then took the MacBook back to Telkom on 03/01/2019 and requested that they issue me with a new MacBook since the Firebolt port is not working. They advised me that they cannot issue me with a new one since Apple want to first make sure what is wrong before they can do anything. They will then send MacBook back to Apple to check what is wrong, which was done on 03/01/2019. Since then we've been in contact with Apple on 09/01/2019 and spoke to Zake who confirmed the Telkom should just have given us another (new) MacBook (open box policy) since we came back within 5 days. When we reported this to Telkom, the floor manager, Sandra Buchler first advised me that I had to take the MacBook directly to Apple not them, I explained to her that on Apple's website it states that only stuff bought on internet or at Apple store may be brought back directly to Apple and if it was bought at a supplier it need to be taken back to the supplier. Which is what we did. She then changed her story and advised that there is a policy between them and Apple that says they are not allowed to exchange anything if they have not send it back to Apple beforehand which they did. She will not contact them because they only opened on 07/01/2019 and would not have worked on my Macbook yet. this was on the 9th of January when I visted the Telkom Vaal Mall store. After I said to her she should do her work she phoned and advised that she has spoken with Rita Natasha Maluleka at Device Lifecycle Management ( ********** ) and they will work shortly on my MacBook. I again told her that ito Consumer Protection Act I demand a new MacBook. Today (16/01/2019) Sandra Buchler from Telkom Vaal Mall store phoned and advised that according to Apple there is nothing wrong with the Firebolt Port, they cant find any fault. I advised her again that the thing did not work, I do not want this broken MacBook, I want a new one because I dont want to sit in the same situation in 2 months time when the "new" Macbook that was already broken again gives the same problems. Then Rita Natasha Maluleka phoned again and told me the same story as Sandra, I again rep**** with the same answer. I advised them that I need a new MacBook before 16:00 today, alternatively they need to cancel the contract and pay back my money. Since I received the "new / broken" Macbook on the 30th of December, gave it back on the 3rd of January and has been paying already from the 1st of December up until now.
