LTE speed - not worth paying the money

I have Telkom LTE at home due to having no ADSL infratructure available in the area. I have this for over a year and abit now. Needless to say 90% of the time it is an utter waste. I have to keep rebboting and moving my modem to get my any type of connectivity. When I have to work from home I use my phone as a HotSpot and thats the only way I can ensure stable connectivity which means me using twice the amount on Data.

I have complained before and the service improved for a short time.

If I do not get an immediate and permanent solution I will use the CPA act to cancel this contract with immediate effect and use that money to pay for a service that actually works.

I have not heard bavk from a Telkom representative to date. My home phone is also not working and a call was logged on Monday already. Can someone please sort out my issues. Beyond highly frustrated already. You don't understand that you are costing me money by me paying for a non-existent service - I need to spend money elsewhere to make calls and use the internet.

I really do not understand why Telkom feels invisible in the Service Provider space. Somehow you think pathetic service will be tolerated by all your customer so why give any consideration to your customers complaints. Well maybe you need to understand the R436 I spend on a service that does not work can be spent elsewhere.
There are plenty SPs out there with much better deals then the above with actual reception and internet connectivity. I work in the IT space and need to work from home quiet often. Although I have WiFi at home I am forced to connect via my cellphone. I get no service from Telkom. I unplug and relocate my router 10x a day trying to get some kind of connectivity and still nothing.
So my cellphone costs have shot through the roof while I'm paying you R436 for blinking lights on router that does nothing. Most times its like a Christmas tree. Green flashes here and there and then red flashes. How sad
My landline hasn't been working for 5 weeks now so to call in to follow up on these reference numbers that seem to mean nothing to you will be more of a waste of my cellphone charges.
With all of this been said, if this is not rectified by tomorrow I will invoke the CPA act and cancel this contract with immediate effect. I will toss that router that has been nothing but a pain in my life in the bin and I will use the money I used to use for this so called LTE service for data on my mobile network and connect this way. It may be going backwards in technology but at least it works.
How embarassing for the "biggest" Service Provider in the country. But who cares right, obviously not you.

Consider this a official instruction to CANCEL my contract with Telkom with immediate affect based on the Consumer Protection Act, 2008: No. 68
If you had any decency you would return the last 2 months of my debit order since I barely had a service but you conveniantly took the money from my account and ignored my reports that I am not satisfied with the horrible service.
I WILL NOT be sending further regarding the cancellation. Let Telkom do something for a change. If you can't provide a service in the telecoms space the least you can do is cancel the contract without further frustrating me. If you debit my account at the end of the month I will simply reverse the debit and instruct the bank to stop the debit order.
Thanks for nothing.

isn't it funny how you couldn't bother to respond to me till the very day my debit comes off? Then suddenly I get a SMS to tell me you failed to get hold of me so you will be closing my ticket. How do you people working there sleep at night knowing your service is beyond pathetic and you are part of the team that delivers nothing to its customers yet charge an arm and a leg?
I will be reversing the debit order and you can go get ffff'd. Vumatel is in our area now. I rather use their service. Bye bye Telkom. Can't wait to never spend a cent with you ever again. Most South African's feel this way and the more pathetic service you deliver the better the market for your competition. Won't it be lovely to see a parastatal that has been around forever be overtaken by a new ISP? We all looking forward to that day
"Fibre update!!!!
The green area in the map below has been marked with pole locations for aerial fibre installation. The red area is due to be completed by the end of the week.
The marking looks like the other picture. It is on your sidewalk. The pole will be erected 1m from your wall in line with the marking on the curb."

Good Day
Please find supporting documentation to cancel my contract with immediate affect. I have complained and complained and quiet frankly I am tired of paying for a service and after service that does not exist. I hereby instate the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008 to cancel this contract. If you want to fight me on it I am more than happy to provide evidence that I made every attempt to get better service out of Telkom to no avail.
I will also then take you to task to refund me for all the times I had little to no service. You can pay me back R10 for everytime I had to switch off the modem, move it in my room and pray for better service. I will bet you you will pay me alot of money.
I will return the modem & SIM but as I have mentioned in my complaint on HelloPeter the one antenna has been damaged due to the constant moving around seeking service.
I will also then take you to task to pay for the data I used via my phone when I had no service from Telkom. I am in IT and need a constant connection. If you cannot provide this then you shouldn't have taken my money at the end of every month.
Regards,
Mr. Jimmy

plus you conveniently close my ticket without lifting a finger. So glad I am no longer a customer of yours. Get rid of my Telkom line then I want nothing to do with this joke of an institution ever again:
We could not find any faults in our system with reference number: ********** 5. Please check the reference number and try again.

Not so funny now when I don't want your contract or pathetic service anymore, is it? It was all fun and games for you till I started reversing the debits. You even ignored 2 emails to confirm my cancellation. This was one sure fire way to get your attention. I will advise all my family and friends who suffer at the hands of you with non-existent service or attitude from your staff.
And yes you can send a technician after almost 2 yrs of begging you but I will not change my mind or push me to complete paying the balance of my contract. Let this be a lesson to you. I will advise everyone else to follow suit too till you learn to deliver the service we pay you for and not frustrate your customers thinking you untouchable. Well, guess what - you are not untouchable and you are not the only option anymore. Let that sink in for abit.
As per my email to your cancellation department:
