LTE Internet Deal for R149 per month - What a Con!

<p>I signed up for the R149 per month LTE Internet contract, as it looked like a good deal. When I signed up, I could have sweared that the offer was 10GB day usage, with 10GB after hours usage. (Somewhere along the way, the ads changed to 5GB day and 10GB night usage.)</p> <p>When I phoned to sign up, I told the lady that the debit order date would be the 25th of the month, and that I ONLY wanted to pay R149, and did not want the extra R500 for going over the 5GB (which is not even mentioned in the ad!) I CLEARLY SAID "CAP IT AT R149".</p> <p>Of course, the first bill I received was hundreds of Rands over R149, and the payment goes off on the 5th of the month, and not on the 25th, as requested!</p> <p>I have phoned and phoned and phoned, each time with promises of a correction to no avail. I can feel my blood pressure rising as I type this!</p> <p>I mentioned the issue of Telkom on the office yesterday, and every person there had some horror story about billing! </p> <p>I am at my wits end! No wonder someone I know said when she was looking to install fibre: "Any company but NOT TELKOM!"</p>
