Loyal Customer but Non-Loyal Service Provider

I have been a Telkom customer for about 4 years now (if not more), paying my account religiously for the past 48 months. My debit order bounced this month and instead of finding out what the problem is or when payment can be expected ALL my Telkom accounts have been suspended. I cant even send a 'please call me' to anybody or phone emergency services.

I called in to tell them I fully intend to make two payments on pay day ( 6 days from today) and was just given a shrug and a 'sorry I cant help you', make payment now and it will be unsuspended. I don't have money right now I responded to this and again 'well then we cant help you'.

In a situation like this is it not then ethical or 'the right thing to do', and I made this argument on the phone, if my services have been suspended that Telkom should pro-rata my October bill for services NOT rendered until they receive my payments? And they said 'Sorry but we cant speak on behalf of Telkom ... I'm a loyal and well-paying customer and I get the finger from Telkom, ***?

So much for customer loyalty being paid back with Telkom client loyalty!

To add to the story above... So I manage to make the payment (after being told that my account will be unsuspended once payment is made) and I call the call centre and they tell me that my account has been sent to collections and will most likely only activate in 7 - 14 working days.... All this bulls*&# because of a bounced debit order, the first one ever. Ill be moving my accounts away from Telkom.

Thank you for the response. So I made a manual payment which I know reflects on Telkoms system however money was just subtracted from my account today the 25th. I called the call centre and they say that I have paid too much now... So my question to Telkom is. If you received full payment manually and it reflected, why then debit my account on the 25th AGAIN? I phoned to make sure it doesn't go off AGAIN on the 01st because that's when my debit order is actually meant to go off.

Telkom logs an official private business reply but nobody gets in touch. Makes the status on Telkom complaints look real good doesn't it?? Anyway, update no my Telkom experience. After a debit order went off on the 25th October (meant to have gone off on the 1st) for more than was meant to, I phoned Telkom AGAIN today to see when they will be refunding me and the response: Your debit payment still isn't reflecting, try phone us again in the next 7-14 days....AGAIN!! So fed up.
