Lost telkom airtime

My wife bought airtime yesterday of R140 from Shoprite and unfortunately she lost the receipt. She then went back and they only printed the Voucher nr for her and told her that she must give that to telkom people and they will use that to retrieve the airtime for her. She called and she gave them that number and they said after 24 hrs the airtime will be put into the phone from their system. 24 hrs later I made a follow up and basically told to go f*** off as they can not help me and it was my fault I lost the receipt and it's not their problem. For someone who has been loyal to telkom who is supposed to help if they can not? Is their system so backward that they can not resolve a simple matter? To make matters worse they see the voucher hasn't been recharged but they just can't heip me. I begin to wonder if they can't help or someone from telkom benefits from this and gets free airtime.
