Line transfer - No service
I requested to cancel my Telkom landline on August 6, 2015 because I was relocating at the end of August to a house without a landline. I was told that the line would be disconnected one month later on September 6th. Upon moving in the new house, I discovered that there was in fact a Telkom landline installed. I then requested on August 28 to rather transfer the landline and not cancel it. They said that it would be done and a technician would contact me within the next two weeks in order to do the transfer.
No technician called, and since I moved I did not have a working Telkom line from which I could log a dispute. I live in a rural area, so it is extremely difficult for me to contact Telkom any other way. I did actually try and go to the walk-in store in Tygervalley Centre but unfortunately the shop was closed due to renovations! So far my monthly invoices are still being deducted by debit order. I was charged a total of R1033.81 (Sept & Oct) while not having a working landline at all!
I request that my line would be transferred immediately and that I would be refunded for the two months (Sept & Oct) that I did not receive any service.
