Line still Not completed after 2 months
In October last year, I app**** to relocate my line, everything was good to go for it being cancelled towards the end of November. The line was however cut 2 weeks before the agreed upon date. Slightly annoyed I managed to deal with it. However I was no longer moving to the set address, so I called Telkom and requested that the line be reinstated. I was assured it would take 2-3days to be reinstated. Sounds great… However it did not come back on, I waited a week and called again, where I was told that I would need to speak to accounts as my account is suspended. Okay, I was put through to accounts, apparently my line was then cancelled , to which I never requested, I told them my story and they said unfortunately I would need to get a ‘Fixed line look-a-like” which I did not understand as I haven’t moved however the lady strongly suggested it as there is cable theft… AGAIN I cannot understand as I never moved so why all of a sudden would there be a problem with my cabling. I then went the next day in store to Telkom.. to my surprise they said it would be best that I COMPLETELY cancel my line and apply for a new one which will be at a new residence. I accepted as I need to get this sorted out immediately. I finally got an installation date… 15 December 2017 , I was extremely satisfied. However the technician was sent out, not only was he there for under 5minutes he stated there is a break in the line ( Strange I thought as the previous owners of the house had internet right up until they left and the very next day we moved in) he stated he would come back later in the day. He NEVER returned. I waited 3 weeks, every time I called it was a completely different story from each consultant, the final conclusion I received was that my line wasn’t new… it was set for a relocation… I asked where they would be relocating it… and once again I am extremely DISAPPOINTED as they set it as a relocation to my previous address. Im sure you can start to understand my frustration by now however it carries on… I then app**** with them to correct it to the proper address, and waited patiently for a new date, still no answer a month down the line. I then went in AGAIN to a different store where they told me there is nothing they can do for me yet again as they cannot get a hold of the Open serve cabling technicians, they told me it was a small problem to be resolved. This was on the 8th January 2018. I then called again a week later and finally snapped requesting a manager of Telkom where I got a new date to be installed on the 15 January 2018, great stuff… They technicians were sent out… ATLAS apparently the problem wasn’t with my line (According to them at the time) they needed to get into the neighbour’s house and check the box… Neighbours weren’t home and what do you think they did? They left and didn’t bother, I then went to my neighbours are requested if its possible Telkom can come inside their yard, I mean I don’t get why I was resorted to beg my neighbours to let Telkom come in, shouldn’t that be the technicians who arrange it? Fair enough it was arranged that they come the next day to resolve it and THEN apparently there was a problem with another exchange and THEY HAVE TO COME BACK AGAIN… which they didn’t return that day as discussed… then finally a new technician came out and said the problem lies in my house…. So I would like to know why is everyone telling me a completely different story? Why am I, someone who has been a customer for years being treated like this, do you not want to keep a customer? Does it not matter to you if all you’re doing is making promises one after the other and never stick to a commitment?
I would just like some feedback, why is it that this is how you treat your clients?
If you can please urgently get back to me, I would just like my internet to be sorted, a straight forward answer would be appreciated.
