Line still down after one week

I reported a fault with my ADSL on 20 October 2016. I was given reference number 1267CRK201016, and a representative called on 21 October 2016 to say that they would attend to the matter.

I then received an SMS stating that the problem had been resolved. Needless to say, the line was still down.

A subsequent call to Telkom and they advised that the line was fine. I called my ISP, who says that the line has been down since 20 October 2016. Called Telkom again and they said that they would dispatch a technician.

Since then, nothing.

It has been two weeks now, and all that has happened is that I have received more SMS's stating that the problem has been resolved.

A technician arrived at my house, and determined that there was something wrong with the line. A few days later I got a call from another technician who wasn't aware of the previous technician. The whole process just restarted.

It seems that the technicians just keep on reporting that the problem is fixed, and then I have to keep on reporting that it has not been fixed.

Will I be refunded for the days (so far two weeks) that this service has been inaccessible?

According to Telkom's website, this fault was resolved on Wednesday 2 November.

Needless to say, I am still not receiving the service that I am paying for. This has been going on for nearly three weeks.

Can anyone recommend an alternative to Telkom for ADSL?
