Line randomly disconnected

<p>On 16 Feb 2017 at around 5pm my ADSL disconnected. I thought it might be weather related but a few hours later it still did not reconnect.</p> <p>Left it and thought it would reconnect when all is ok. On the 17th, I immediately checked the ADSL connection when I got home from work at around 4:30pm. Still no connection.</p> <p>At this point I decided to call Telkom. Connected a handset to the line when I discovered that I didn't even have any dial tone. My analogue line was dead.</p> <p>Account is paid and up to date.</p> <p>Phoned Telkom from my cell and they said their is a problem by the DSLAM to which I connect to.</p> <p>Logged a fault and on the 24th a Telkom technician arrived. He did few tests to find a problem and told me my line was completely and physically disconnected. They would have to reinstall it and someone would come to my house on the 28th. It's the month and my line is still not active?!<br /><br /></p> <p>I don't know HOW or WHY someone would physically disconnect my line but this needs to be fixed NOW! And I'm most definitely not paying for the duration I had no service. </p> <p>I'm with Afrihost, so Telkom, I'm assuming you're not gonna cover my ISP bill, right?<br /><br /></p> <p>The technician told me Telkom has contractors working on the lines and it looks like they might have disconnected me to connect someone else. Is this true???<br /><br />Another Telkom line on the same premises also disconnected today...</p> <p>WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!?!?!</p>
