Line out of service for 22 days - no response from Telkom

My phone and ADSL line has been out of service since the 25th of September - since then I have called on every single weekday morning to follow up on the fault, but there has been no progress.

A technician was only allocated to my fault on the 9th of October. On Monday the ninth I received a promise (and it was confirmed by the car centre agent that the note on the system reflected this) service will be restored by 11/10/2017 at 12h00

I called on the morning of the 11th - I was promised that they will come before the 12th (the call centre agent called the technician)

I called on the 12th. I was promised that I will receive a call to confirm the status of my fault.

I called on the 13th. And was told that I will be updated on my fault progress.

On no occasion have I received any information back from Telkom during this time.

I called again this morning of the 16th - I was told that there has yet not been a technician assigned to my fault (contrary to previous conversations) and that it is still with an "assessor". And the agent conformed that she is sending an email marked urgent and I will receive feedback - I have received no feedback since.

I have spent hours holding on the phone while Telkom call centre employees try and understand what is going on. I have also spent over a R1000 on mobile data to account for my lack of ADSL service. Furthermore, both my and my wife's work is suffering from this and we is severely affected by this.

This is unacceptable. I consider this breach of contract by Telkom.

I demand the following: 1. Refund of service fees paid since 25/09/2017. 2. Assessment and repair of my Telkom line as a matter of urgency. 3. Release from my Telkom service an migration of my ADSL line to the holding pool so that I can take my business to a new ISP.

I cannot accept such poor service. I have been blatantly **** to on several occasions by Telkom staff and I cannot support such a unreliable company.
