Line installed without dsl made active

<p>I requested a fixed land line to be installed at my new residence, and this was duly done on the 1'st of November. However, when I initially requested the fixed land line, I requested to check whether there is a landline to use, as well as the speed of adsl, as the main use would be for the internet. Everything was done, though I was not asked to check whether the contract that was set-up was correct, I was just asked to sign, as things were filled in correctly.</p> <p> </p> <p>I did sign, though now I have no active DSL line (which was the main part of my request). I mostly work from home, as well as my partner, and without the basic dsl line being active, I now requested an ISP to active my ADSL data, though the line is not active. I was also told today to fill in a cancellation form, and send this in to Telkom, before the process can start and then I was informed that it takes 7-21 days to complete. As this is not my error, I expect that Telkom corrects the mistake, activate the DSL line, that needs to be active, so I can start working from home again before end of this week.</p> <p> </p> <p>I'm disappointed that there was never confirmation of services requested, or that were installed, otherwise I would not have let the technician go, after things were completed. </p> <p> </p> <p>Please look into this as a priority, as I need the DSL line to be active by end of this week, and not 7-21 days.</p>
