Line cancelled, still being billed
After having to submit my landline cancellation 3 times I finally received confirmation that the line has been cancelled. On 22 March 2018 the line went off, but I am still being billed and debit orders are still going off my account even though 4 different Telkom agents have assured me on 4 different occasions that this won't happen again.
I spoke to someone a week ago (ref no: ********** 1) who logged a dispute regarding billing. I just received another invoice stating that after a service fee of R56.84 has been deducted, I now have a credit of R287.03. Why am I paying a fee for a line that does not exist, for a service that has been cancelled, for an account that is paid up and all this through a debit order that was supposed to be cancelled more than 2 months ago?
Can you please fix whatever is wrong on your side? If I go to a store, I'm told to phone. If I phone I'm told to go to a store. When I use chat service, I'm told that it no longer works for landlines. Then I drop the chat and create one with a new agent and suddenly the chat still works for landlines.
This is the exact reason why I cancelled my line with Telkom. Unreliable services, horrible billing experiences and non-existent customer service.
Honestly Telkom, I don't want to have to write on this website but what am I supposed to do?
I really hope to get this sorted soon, but I will definitely not be holding my breath or believe anything that Telkom says to me until the debit orders stop and my "credit" is refunded.
