Line cancellation botched - still receiving invoices six months later

At the end of January this year I was set to move apartment's and so began the process of getting my Telkom line cancelled. I should have known then that this would turn into what is a typical customer experience with Telkom, i.e an absolute nightmare.

On the 6th of January I sent an email to thier cancellation email *** (the very same email address that I was advised to contact by Telkom in the event of cancellation). I attached the necessary details along with a copy of my ID. I received written notificaiton back from Telkom on the same day to acknowledge receipt and to advise that one of their clients would be in contact shortly. Within the hour I received a call from one of their agent's. She walked me through the process of cancellation and at the end of the conversation, assured me on several occasions that the line would be cancelled and that I would not be required to do anything more to achieve this -- she did so as I asked her to clarify this on more than one occassion as I was being overly cautious given my previous experiences with Telkom.

It's hardly a surprise that it is now the beginning of June, and despite several follow up emails to the same address, I am still receiving invoices for the line all the while the amount outstanding is climbing.

I simply don'y know what else to do. I comp**** with all of their requirements, received several guarantees from their agent (I've asked them to please check the recording of the conversation to confirm this) and still they will not cancel the line. I have all of the emails I have sent them with the dates to confirm.

As I've said, I really am at a loss as to what I else I have to do. This really is not acceptable.

Of course, there simply is no possibility that I will pay the outstanding amount they continue to invoice me for. I simply ask that Telkom display a shred of competence and integrity and resolve this as a matter of urgency.

After initially getting in touch with me, Telkom have not responded to any of my now, 13 emails. And this is their Hello Peter email address. That tells you something.
I've been trying to cancel my line since January. How is it possible for a company to be this poorly managed?
