Lies about Contract Upgrades

Telkom does not allow me to upgrade my mobile contract, even after they have sent me MULTIPLE e-mails/SMSs etc. that state that I can upgrade my contract.

From January I have received an e-mail each month like clockwork: "You can upgrade in 3 months! Look at our deals!" then "Only two months until you can upgrade!", and last month "You can upgrade next month!" with an upgrade date of 7 April 2018.

I went to the store, stood in a ridiculously long queue and when I was eventually helped, they just flat-out refused to help me and they say that I cannot upgrade yet. This is pathetic! How can Telkom be so out of sync that departments can't even agree on such simple matters? When I call the call centre, I mostly just hold on forever. I huge waste of time.

This is the last straw. I have been waiting a long time for the Huawei P20 Pro to arrive before upgrading and when it finally comes out and I made the effort to go to the store to get it - they just tell me I can't upgrade?

This is unacceptable. Either you let me upgrade now, or I will be taking my business elsewhere when my contract expires. As simple as that. Me and my husband have been loyal Telkom customers for years, but enough is enough.
