Lefthand doesnt know what the Right is doing

If I could go lower than a one star I would!

Telkom Business is *********** and they lie to their customers.

I was assured of a call answer service on my old telkom business line when I called in to inform them we were moving premises. This line was to inform clients of our new number... To date this has not been actioned - we moved over two weeks ago. To add to this when we were asked to send in an email request to ********** we received a response to the effect that there was a problem with our request - after repeated attempts to contact:

Luzie Scheepers

BO Support Consumer

Business Operations

With regards to this problem we have had NO response from her. So at this point my clients think I have fallen off the face of the earth!

While this is bad enough we have had even more problems with the new lines installed in the new offices. Firstly we have a 10mb line for the office which has always been more than sufficient, when we were back online after the move this line was operating at less than 1mbps. It took telkom 2days to do a site visit and rectify this problem. And still we are barely registering 5mbps on this line. While this is currently sufficient for our immediate needs this is NOT what we are paying for!! Calls to the call centre basically yield the same response - they reset the line and it speeds up for a few hours and drops out again... this ONGOING problem is frustrating but not as frustrating as the complete lack of effort with regards to our landline (analogue)fault which has hitherto been IGNORED.
The fault was logged on 30/08/2016 - the line is completely dead on our side while we can hear it ringing if we dial it. We received a text message from Telkom confirming that this would be rectified/dealt with within 2 business days... its been 6 days since that message was received (4 business days) and NOTHING. When we called to check on the progress on 02 September 2016 we were told by Brendan in the Callcentre that the problem was being dealt with at the Exchange by technicians who would contact me regarding the progress. When I called again today to check on progress (notice Telkom didn't contact me as promised) - I was told by another CallCentre agent Pateko that the fault was only allocated to a technician TODAY 05 September 2016.

I have been a week without a landline in my office.

I have to pay rental for a line I cannot access.

This is a brand new line.

I was **** to by the Callcentre agent telling me that it was being dealt with at the exchange.

It is only being allocated FOUR (4) DAYS after it was reported instead of the promised 2 days.

As I said - Telkom and a majority of its employees are *********** and its more frustrating dealing with them than anything else.

If there was another carrier in South Africa I would change ALL my lines with immediate effect even if the costs were double - just to get away from them!
