LEFT HAND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT IS DOING LINE SUSPENDED - INVOICE IN CREDIT
I am absolutely incensed. My 89 year old mother’s acc has been suspended &pose the question as 2why? 4 no apparent reason over the past few months accs have ceased by email albeit that representation has been made by email questioning this &was provided with an acc reflecting a nil balance. @no time was I ever told there was a new acc no. albeit there is one profile with all the information reflected on it. A couple of weeks ago my mother received a call advising that if payment was not made her line wud be suspended. No amount was given or any other information. In good faith after the call I made payment of R40000 which as @ the 15/8 reflects a credit balance. (why when querying this acc did it not ring any bells &more importantly why when querying this did nobody bother 2investigate &why are these two accs on the same profile with all the same details 4 the same person with the same no. not automatically merged?) @ no time was I ever informed &@ no time have I subsequently received any subsequent acc or indeed any communication of whatsoever nature whatever - albeit that the email address is as i understand already on the profile. Today her line was cut off because Telkom’s (***********) left hand doesn’t know what the (***********) right hand is doing. When the acc was sent with a nil balance I shud have been informed that Telkom had changed the acc no. How &why wud we possibly know that Telkom in their infinite wisdom had decided 2cancel & reinstate anything without informing us. How &why wud we know where 2make payment if no invoices (or other information) was ever received? I have had endless problems with Telkom over the past 6months because similarly @that time &without any warning or having been ordered or requested was she informed that her line had been migrated (one day it was working &the next day it wasn’t because Telkom had “migrated” it). No instrument was delivered or any notification given. Eventually after several attempts by various members of Telkom &due 2its unreliable &inefficient workability ¬ being user friendly it was decided that the migration wud simply be reversed. It was never ordered thereby it shud need 2have been cancelled. If however this is procedure then common decency &good business practice wud suggest that it is the client’s constitutional right 2be informed of all or any changes 2his acc or indeed any notification whatsoever. How on earth after having the same acc no. &phone no. 4 more than 60 years wud anyone ever have any indication that their acc had been changed unless they were informed thereof accordingly. How can Telkom possibly be expected 2receive payment in2an acc that the client does not know exists unless they had been informed thereof? Well done Telkom 4once again succeeding in traumatising an elderly citizen 4 no good purpose. 2date I still have no idea as 2what the outstanding amount is. In this regard &only through the fault of Telkom has this situation arisen I sincerely trust that this will be reversed as a matter of urgency &that no charge will be implemented pertaining hereto.
