Landline no longer works due to change of signal in my area

Landline no longer works and the response from Telkom has been the road is no longer covered by Telkom. After more than 30 years of being a customer this type of response is appalling. Have called multiple times and visited offices and the final response has been the signal in the road I live in is not covered by Telkom anymore. Interesting that my 4G signal does work? No formal communication regarding this change and no change in the signal map on the Telkom website.
