LACK OF SERVICE
I called the call centre two weeks ago to log a call to move my telkom ADSL line to my new address. Upon following up a week later I was advised that the call was never logged and I should make a payment of R600.00 which I duly did. I phoned back that afternoon and was assisted by Pumla who confirmed that the booking was done for the 29th December with reference ********** 28A. I called to follow-up on my order on 27 December and was advised by Thobile that the order was with the processing department and she would escalate same I would receive an SMS in due course. NO SMS received. I called again on 28.12.2017 and spoke to Silingile and was advised that my order does not exist and I need to recreate same. I advised that this is not possible. She advised that she would escalate the matter and get someone to call me back before lunchtime. This again did not happen. I called and spoke to Nolwazi at 14:30 on 28.12.2017 who advised me that the order cannot be attended to as their technical department has shut down and will only return on 8 Janaury 2018. I advised that each time I called there is a different excuse and I am not going to accept same as the service is shocking. She then went on to tell me that they cannot process my order as there is a past amount due. I advised that this is not the case as I paid R600.00 as well as a further R750.00 which makes my account in advance. I asked to speak to a manager and was advised that there is no-one available to speak to and I must just wait until the 8th. I advised that this is unacceptable as I cannot be without a service as I use the internet to complete surveys for income. No work no pay yet they expect me to pay for a service that is not being rendered. I sincerely ask that someone assist me in this matter as I feel that seen as they have the monopoly they actually do not care about the customers and why should I keep paying for no service being rendered
