LACK OF PROPER SERVICE FROM TELKOM

On 28/08/2019 I logged a call with Telkom that my landline and internet were not working. It took them several days to decide that the problem is due to cable theft and that they won't be replacing the cable. This confirmation was given to me on 05/09/2019 and I was asked to migrate to their wireless service. I contacted their sales department the same day and requested the migration. I was told that I will received a wireless modem and can continue using the services on receipt of the modem. I asked about my e-mail account and was told that the e-mail account will be moved onto my new contract. The modem was received on 10/09/2019. An hour later I received an SMS saying that my services have been activated and I will be billed from 10/09/2019. However, my sim was not activated and I was unable to use their services. I had to phone their call centre and dispute what their SMS said. I also argued the fact that my services are not yet active so they should not be sending me an SMS saying it is active and I will be billed from that day. They lawfully can only bill me from the day my services are active and I am able to use it. The call centre agent said that my services will be active from the next day and their accounts department will adjust my account. Fortunately by the latter part of the day my services were activated. All went well until this morning when my e-mails stopped working. On calling their call centre I was shunted from one department to another. Finally one of the agents said that the migration of my e-mail account has been done and it shows active. However, he can see from his side that the e-mail facility is not working. He logged a call with his I.T department under ref. no. *** and said that its a small problem and will be a quick fix. Two hours later I phoned again as my e-mail is still not working. The new agent said that they cannot give a timeframe and their I.T department will attend to my matter. I find that the service from Telkom is rather poor. Not being able to give timeframes to customers especially for simple problems is ridiculous. Are their employees and I.T technicians not s****ed enough that they cannot give timeframes? Telkom management should become more customer focused rather than run surveys to see how they doing when they don't give customers proper service.
