Lack of Ethics
I was due for an upgrade on my contract and went to the store in PMB Midlands mall. I am pleased to note they have a ticket system which is good only if they keep to it. We were number 36 and one of the consultants a guy by the name of Sholin saw a friend of his with his dad? (I am not sure if it was his friend), and called these two gentlemen to his counter, THEY HAD NO TICKET!! My husband and I were probably next in line, or second in line. We waited there a whole hour and this guy was still busy with these two gentlemen, eventually, we were called through by another teller Chesne Francis, who was really very helpful and pleasant, tried his best to change our moods around. Another incident occurred with the same guy Sholin, where another gentleman came in and screamed from across the room that he was not helped correctly by Sholin, to which the man was taken to the front of the store and seen to as he was there earlier in the day. The workers of Telkom need to realise that there are rules put in place for a reason, and that is for customer satisfaction. We stood there for such a long time and once we were done it had been 2.5hrs since we went in and got a ticket. 2.5hrs turnaround time is ridiculous, to say the least. I had taken off work just to sort out my contract and had to spend 2.5hrs standing in a queue was not how I envisioned my time off. Funny enough when we left the two gentlemen were still being helped, but by someone else, because there seemed to be a problem.
Telkom needs to train ALL their staff better because it seems some of them (the staff) lack a simple sense of ethics. Well done to Chense for assisting us with such enthusiasm. It has not gone unnoticed.
