Keep your eyes on Telkom

How Tekom accounts work is if you pay you pay one month in advance. So for example if you are invoiced in September for you ADSL you are invoiced for October.

As it happened I cancelled all my Telkom services the 19 of September. I paid Septembers invoice which means I was paid up for October. After 19 September I did not utilize any Telkom services. Today the 20 Of October I get invoiced again for November. Telkom insists that it is the ”notice period” but I already cancelled in September. So basically Telkom wants two months worth of income for October and November for services not rendered or utilized. I call that theft! I logged a dispute: ********** 0.

No wonder they want people to sign a debit order.
